Here's What the Rowing Club Has Going On:
2018 Learn to Row Classes
Step 1: Info Meeting
June 5 (Tuesday)
5:30-7pm - Youth presentation
7-8:30pm - Adult presentation
At the Hope Connection Center. 927 W Fair Ave. MQT.
Everyone is welcome to attend our no-obligation LTR Informational Meeting, and find out what we do. We will introduce ourselves with a little history of rowing, and our club's background. We will explain how our club rows work; what the LTR format will be; what to wear (and not wear) on the water; routines and policies; and everyone will have an opportunity to ask questions.
Step 2: Orientation
June 6 (Wednesday) 6-8pm
At Marquette Senior High School.
For those wishing to enroll in this year's Learn to Row program, please attend the required Orientation Day for youth and adults. The purpose of Orientation Day is to give the rowers a chance to complete all the necessary club requirements. One of the requirements is a simple swim test (tread water/swim 50 yards), which is done in the pool with shorts and a T-shirt (no bathing suit). So please bring a towel, and a change of clothing. No one will be allowed in a boat without first completing all requirements.
Step 3 Adults:
Choose either required class time:
June 9 (Saturday) 9-1pm
-- Or --
June 16 (Saturday) 9-1pm
Then, enjoy continued coached sessions at your every opportunity throughout the summer:
